Obituary
Clyde Edward Noblitt, 78 passed away, Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Frye Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Catawba County on September 6, 1947, he was the son of the late Clyde Spence and Frances cummings Lowe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brothers David Noblitt and Clarence Noblitt and a sister Rebecca Corum.
Clyde was U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, and had worked maintenance for Town of Brookford, also a member of Faith Tabernacle.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at Brookford City Cemetery with Reverend R. Roger Webb officiating. Pallbearers will be Bobby Craig, David Noblitt, Keith York, Carroll Hoyle, Ryan Hoyle, Russell Young, and Honorary pallbearer Bradley Noblitt.
Burial will follow in Brookford City Cemetery.

Clyde before his retirement spent years as the Head of Maintenance for the Town of Brookford, where everyone in the town had the pleasure of speaking with him on nearly a daily basis. He will be greatly missed, but will never be forgotten.
