Written by BROOKFORD, N.C. – The Town of Brookford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 79-year-old man who has been reporting missing from his residence in Brookford.
Authorities are searching for “Claude Wayne Holsclaw,” who is commonly known by the name “Doc.” Investigators have entered Holsclaw into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a missing person.
According to police, Holsclaw is legally blind, and there are growing concerns about his health and well-being. Investigators believe he may be traveling somewhere in the North Carolina mountains, but his exact destination and current whereabouts remain unknown.

Holsclaw was last seen in June at his residence in Brookford. Law Enforcement continues to actively investigate the case and is urging anyone who may have seen him or has information that could assist investigators to come forward.
